Something up with NICS this week?

My FFL tells me he's got a growing backlog of NICS requests beginning from yesterday. Anyone else waiting?

I'm so glad I don't have to deal with this BS anymore. I walk in, fill out a 4473, pay for the gun and walk out the door. No NICS check required.

Because Texas doesn't require a NICS check for CHL holders.

I'm so glad I don't have to deal with this BS anymore. I walk in, fill out a 4473, pay for the gun and walk out the door. No NICS check required. This signature is AWESOME!!!

Don't you still have to do the national nics which is just a phone call made by the FFL?

Because that would make sense. Checked once. You're good if you still possess the CHL.

Common sense to me. Utah runs a check on License holders every 24 hours I believe. No need for redundancy.

Florida has NICS but it's computerized and I've never had to wait. I have a CWP which just waives the 3 day wait for handguns.
