Finally got my YB

Recommended Posts

If some of you recall, I bought a SS Cattleman off of a fine fellow here. I gold plated some of the parts. This was in lieu of brass plating them. To look like their counter part. It needed a big brother. So after waiting about 4 long months for Benelli one of the last ones in stock, I finally picked up my Cattleman's big brother. Benelli is slow as bleep!

The Uberti 1866 Yellowboy Sporting rifle. Both of these buggers are

45LC.... Didn't think I'd ever see this puppy. Here are the boys.

We are all gun owners and we all know what they look like. No need to post pictures. Thanks.

Isn't that what you said?

Yes it is and mine depict custom work, neener neener. I refrained from your post since, so don't start. :)

It's a Winchester replica though. ;)

Its very similar to a Henry too, hence "Henry-like". Henry was the original design and Winchester came out with the similar design a bunch of years later.

I guess the point i was trying to make is that i love guns from that era.

.44-40?

Whelp, inspected the brass today and no tarnish. So I'm happy with the Ren Wax.... Makes the brass and the wood look fabulous. Didn't think of trying it on the barrel. May give it a shot next time I get it out for inspection. If anything, to keep finger prints from burning in case I miss an area.
