Krdshrk 3,872 Posted November 24, 2015 Bob, How could any state or any 1/2 sane person call a soft nose bullet a HP or a Dum Dum! I doubt even New Jersey could get away with that one! From Wikipedia: Expanding bullets are projectiles designed to expand on impact, increasing in diameter to limit penetration and/or produce a larger diameter wound for faster incapacitation. Therefore they are used for hunting and by some police departments, but are generally prohibited for use in war. Two typical designs are the hollow-point bullet and the soft-point bullet. JackDaWack 2,894 Posted November 24, 2015 Thanks Nick, So now I have to follow the no deviations crap for anything but FMJ ammo???? This sucks!!! There's a reason they call it ball ammo, and have NATO specific rounds.
Bt Doctur 188 Posted November 24, 2015 So ,when I travel to PA to hunt with my pistol using 158gr. jacketed hollow points I`m breaking the law? So using 200gr soft points I`m breaking the law?rifle and pistol in the same locked case. Guess that makes everyone here a "FELON" every now and then. Besides, as a hunter your given a little more freedom if u have all your documents and permits on you.
