gleninjersey 2,134 Posted November 23, 2015 Made it out to my new brother in-law's family's property in NY after plans falling through last year. Took a 5 point buck on opening day towards the end of day (Saturday). I mostly gutted it with a little help from my brother in-law. Dropped off at Hunterdon Butcher yesterday evening. Looking forward to picking up lots of good eats! Fantastic time and hope to make it an annual tradition. Pics to follow little later today.

I read nothing but very positive reviews. Has he been to some of the Shotgun Shotouts in Clinton? Some of the guys there looked familiar. I thought I recognized them from the clay shoots but wasn't certain,
siderman 1,134 Posted November 24, 2015 I had my eyes on a good sized buck the other day. Could have nailed him but I was able to slam on the brakes and watch him run thru a couple of my neighbors yards.

Tell jimmy that Adam B the reptile guy sent you. I'll be bringing him a doe to slice up for me to make jerky with soon

Heavyopp 167 Posted November 25, 2015 Nice job -- Do you mind saying what all those specialty meats cost? I'm looking for good butcher for the specialty stuff -- Guy I use now is great for standard cut but I don't like any of his specialty stuff
fishnut 2,358 Posted November 25, 2015 Told ya that jimmy, the owner of hunterdon deer butcher is the best! I just talked to him last week and he is averaging 100 deer a week. That's allot of meat.

gleninjersey 2,134 Posted May 25, 2016 Dug the venison Italian sausage out from the freezer. OMG delicious! I'm going to have to get several pounds of this if I'm lucky enough to get a deer this year. Actually, I'm hoping to get more than one so I can have LOTS of the specialty meats. Also made up some a large batch of delicious venison chili two weeks ago. Froze a lot of it to enjoy when ever the whim strikes me for some chili.
