Are their any members that have one ? And are they reliable, and what mags would you use.

Have a Colt MT6851DC (20" rifle gas system on a A4 upper) from the early 90s. Has always worked perfectly with brass ammo.  Magazine was only 9 rounds I believe.  No one have ever come up with a reliable mag in this platform because of the bevel on the ammo.  Needs a big curve mag to make it feed properly something difficult on the ar15 platform.

i own one and if you want to shoot steel cased ammo, you must upgrade the firing pin.  the standard firing pin is light strikes on the primers of the steel cased ammo.  A stiffer spring and upgraded firing pin and you will be fine.

Having a WASR and SKS, a 7.62x39mm upper would be awesome for me. But you'd have to go with a lower that accepts AK magazines.

i have run the c-products and asc mags and never had a problem out of standard 10 rounders and 10/20s in my 762x39 AR.

anyone have any experience with the CMMG mutant? ive been kinda interested in them lately but ill wait until I hear some first hand experience about them or maybe shoot some rounds through one if any NJGF members have one. I like the idea of it but when it comes down to it AKs are a hell of allot cheaper and probably more reliable

Supposedly the best way is to buy an MGI lower with the AK magwell. It has swappable magwells.
