Reasonable Deviation law:What year passed?

Recommended Posts

I don't knot the answer but I know how you can find it.

Everytime the law is revised, those changes become part of the NJ Register.  You can search the NJ Register online at LexisNexis.

If you look up that section of the Statute in The New Jersey Statutes Annotated (also available at LexisNexis) there will be a long list of dates listed before or after each section of the law.   These are dates that the law was revised.  You need to search the NJ Registers for each of those years.  Lexis Nexis has a pretty good search tool once you learn how to use it.

It's time consuming.

I will research further and post what, if anything, I find. More generally, curious if anyone even has just a gut feel as to what decade it came into being. For example, I first became a firearms owner in the mid-1970s. I dont recall it being a concern back then, in contrast to our present day situation.
