Mossberg Silver Reserve II 12 Ga ???

Anybody have one of these ? SxS  O/U ,  what model? are these any good?? Mostly want one for pheasant / clays. Thanks in advance

I have never shot one, but they have a terrible reputation. You would be better off looking at the CZ over/unders.

Rave reviews of the Mossberg SR are few and far between.  At best, it is a three star gun, and that's only if you're lucky enough to get one of the good ones.  I wanted so badly for it to be a decent gun because it isn't half bad looking and it felt pretty good on my shoulder.

I have one.  Haven't had a single issue with it.  I have the Field version w/ Extractors because I didn't want the shells to eject up into my face.  I plan on using it for the upcoming CNJFO Pheasant Hunt.  I've shot probably about 1k rounds through mine and not a single hiccup.

 

Deerslayer has the Sporting version with the longer, ported barrels.  He hasn't had any issues either.

 

It's a nice light gun, points really well.  Engravings look great.  Price point is great.

 

I also prefer that the safety doesn't auto-engage after opening/closing the gun to reload.  Stoegers do that as well as some other O/Us.

A friend of mi e bought one and sold it shortly after. Just didn't like it

Dunno what you're seeing - haven't had a single issue with mine.
