dank 0 Posted December 18, 2015 Hey everyone. My name is Dan. I grew up in Jersey. Moved to PA for a few years. Purchased a hand gun and rifle. Also, got my concealed carry permit in PA. Now I am back in NJ and need to get a FID. I do have a question. When I was 19, I plead guilty to simple assault. I can have it expunged if needed. Will this be an issue when trying to get a FID? Thanks for the help.
T Bill 649 Posted December 19, 2015 Welcome. IANAL, but before you apply I would consult one on this issue.
Krdshrk 3,877 Posted December 19, 2015 I would get it expunged first.

dank 0 Posted December 19, 2015 Thanks everyone. Knew I should have bought 1 last gun before I moved. Also, find it insane 7 years and counting in the NJ Army national guard, yet I have to worry if NJ will give me a FID. Guess it will be awhile before I can buy the new bolt action I wanted to buy in January.
Taipan 0 Posted December 19, 2015 Sorry you moved back to Jersey yet? I'd call Jef Henninger before applying for the FID. http://njgunpermitattorney.com/
dank 0 Posted December 19, 2015 Thanks. I'll give him a call this week. Yes I bought house in Warren County back in June with my fiancée.
NJGF 375 Posted December 19, 2015 Welcome. I would agree and consult and attorney to get it expunged. And congrats on your engagement!
T Bill 649 Posted December 20, 2015 Don't buy into that "Happy Wife, Happy Life" crap either. Best feeling from sex you'll ever get it when you have "Hall Sex", years later. Some day you'll remember this and say, "He was right".
