Negative effect of Texas open carry

Recommended Posts

Here you go, from my hotel in Houston.

Ban on open carry and cc . If no open carry, perhaps cc would be allowed. attachicon.gifIMG_20160209_1028037.jpg

Maks,

Most hotels have 30.07 signs. Few have 30.06. If I saw that sign, I would stay somwhere else. No moneu from me.

This is interesting because the hotel room you are renting is considered your residence (I forget exactly how it's worded). Perhaps this is only enforceable if you are entering the hotel but not staying there?

You are correct.

I've rarely seen open carry during mucho time-o in PA, VT, ME, NH. But it's not considered a big deal in those states. I personally wouldn't because I have little tactical or hand-to-hand-combat training, which might be necessary if someone were trying to take the gun away from me or if some LEO went bat-shit. It's a matter of personal choice and constitutional rights. We could possibly debate on the former issue if every other headline read, "Open Carry Fanatic Shoots Nineteen People." But we don't see those do we? The fact that it makes some people uncomfortable is one of the plusses IMO. Let them freak out and scurry to their safe spaces for all I care.
