Blank 60 Posted January 14, 2016 i think you ruined a perfectly good glock, but if it makes you happy enjoy Thank you for your opinion it greatly enhances the grip and shooting 30000 rounds a year that really makes a difference

Krdshrk 3,877 Posted January 14, 2016 Personally I'm not a fan of stippling either... but hey, to each their own. Did you DIY with a soldering iron?

Vlad G 345 Posted January 14, 2016 Thank you for your opinion it greatly enhances the grip and shooting 30000 rounds a year that really makes a difference As someone who shoots a stippled gun a lot, the biggest pain in the ass becomes cleaning the dirt and dead skin out of it. I have yet to find an efficient way so I just stopped doing it.

I have yet to find an efficient way so I just stopped doing it.We used to use diluted Muriatic Acid to clean the plastic holds in the Rock climbing gym I ran. Worked really well dissolving skin and chalk that was worked into the pores and texture of the holds. I bet it would just as well work for this. Or, detail strip the frame and put it in the dishwasher (when the wife isn't looking)
High Exposure 5,661 Posted January 14, 2016 After holding a few stippled Glocks, I desperately want one, but I can't modify my duty gun so its a no go. I don't want to get used to the difference and not have it on the gun I carry for work.
DirtyDigz 1,811 Posted January 14, 2016 I finished a 19 today...What do you think? Just kidding - nice stipple job. Soldering iron?
A-Tech 8 Posted January 14, 2016 Psh...just use a harden hose on high pressure...at most some compressed air to get the difficult stuff. Totally worth it
Vlad G 345 Posted January 14, 2016 Now that's something I hadn't considered... Lol... Ew.. You don't even know. I finally decided to really clean mine over the winter, and it took some real effort with alcohol and stuff. My black frame was getting to be distinctly tan. Blank 60 Posted January 15, 2016 You don't even know. I finally decided to really clean mine over the winter, and it took some real effort with alcohol and stuff. My black frame was getting to be distinctly tan Fellas just dont let it build up...Use a stiff brush for 2 seconds after each session you'll be fine...Plus the smaller the dots the sharper the edges and the more sking will build up...the size we use has great grip but doesn't rip the skin as much... Blank 60 Posted January 15, 2016 IMPORTANT! if you DIY your gun make sure you control the heat by moving around the gun...If you heat up the grip too much you can WARP the polymer and then your mags wont fit right!!!
302w 83 Posted January 16, 2016 I really, really, really want to stipple my Shield but I don't want to screw it up. Even if I practiced with Pmags and airsoft guns I'd still be too afraid.

chris327 30 Posted January 16, 2016 Thanks gunna mess with doing some other patterns next week. 302w try it with a pmag. I just watched a few videos while the wood burner heated up and did the pmag which was my first time trying it. Had the grip laying around extra so tried that too. Once you do it your thoughts might change

n4p226r 105 Posted January 22, 2016 and just think, glock could solve all these issues by getting rid of the finger grooves, giving us a higher undercut on the trigger guard, and loading the gun up with some RTF2 bumps.
