DirtyDigz 1,811 Posted January 14, 2016 Got an STI 1911 on the way, my first 1911. Have found some aftermarket grips I like for it. Can I assume all 1911 grips are interchangeable, or do different manufacturers/models have different sizes?
Purple Patrick 638 Posted January 14, 2016 I'm pretty sure they are standard amount the sizes. The only one I think that's different if the smallest frame size.... officer I believe Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk
BullzeyeNJ 104 Posted January 14, 2016 What ataimwolswol said. All the same size except the officers is smaller. Must take into account things like a single sided or ambi thumb safety and whether you want the bottom of the grip radiused or not. Also, if you have a bobtail then its a differrent cut at the back to fit that frame mod.

Most people would probably recommend you keep that support, but it's up to you. Aside from that, the grip screw holes should reliably line up.
