mikeyjones 88 Posted January 29, 2016 American Reloading has pulled 9mm and 40sw bullets really cheap right. I've ordered a few times from them lately and have not been disappointed yet w/ quality. Use code 50OFFUNTILGONE at checkout https://www.americanreloading.com/en/blowout-sale-section/671-9mm-115-grain-plated-pulled-projectiles-500-ct.html

sinter 4 Posted January 29, 2016 Thanks, I ordered some .40 . Hopefully I get more 165 gr than 180. How are you going to quickly sort the different weights?
mikeyjones 88 Posted January 29, 2016 How are you going to quickly sort the different weights? Reloading scale, weigh 2 at a time. You don't need exact measurements. If weight is < 360 then 1 is 165. You put that pile aside and move to the next 2. I don't think it would take long to sort 1k pieces.

Vlad G 345 Posted January 29, 2016 Personally I don't want pulled plated. The savings just isn't worth it.
Schrödinger's cat 87 Posted January 29, 2016 It was $15 cheaper than ibejihead for 500. Not much of an investment at $24.

Sent from my ONE A2005 using Tapatalk I didn't parse the original that the code was an additional 50% off. Even so. free garbage is still garbage. The pics show some pretty rough plating and plated bullets are very sensitive to damage to the plating.

I have no incentive aside from promoting a good deal for fellow enthusiasts. Like I said in the several orders I've received I have yet to find one with actually damaged plating. Some may have very minor pull marks, but vast majority are just slightly dirty. If you're concerned, don't load them as hot as you would jacketed. Plated bullets are only supposed to be loaded slightly hotter than lead cast. Sent from my ONE A2005 using Tapatalk
Vlad G 345 Posted January 29, 2016 The issue for me is not hotness, is accuracy, leading, etc. Plated bullets are very sensitive to crimp and the damage they take from over crimping can have significant impact on their performance, I'm glad you like them, personally the savings isn't worth it.
