  1. I have one, and couldn't be happier. I haven't had a single problem with it. I didn't like the thumbhole stock that it came with, so I got a replacement stock set (with handguards) from ironwood designs (I went for the black walnut). To make sure I was 922r compliant, I swapped out the trigger & hammer for the Tapco G2 set. If you can pick up a MAK 90, you'll be very happy

    Ruger mini-30

If you're looking for a 7.62 rifle, I can't recommend a MAK-90 highly enough. NJ legal, and of pretty high quality (relatively speaking). I absolutely love mine. Gunbroker has a bunch available (just make sure the seller doesn't send you a hi-cap standard-cap magazine. http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.aspx?Item=358558277
  3. thank you all for the great advice. In the end, I decided to go with the SOG powerlock EOD. It seemed like thats what he'd get the most use out of.
  4. A friend of mine just graduated High School and is joining the Marines. For a graduation gift, I was thinking about getting him either a Ka-Bar or a SOG Powerlock. Does anyone on here have any thought on which would be better? Thanks for your input. Josh
  5. Just picked up 10 boxes. Shipping was $11. Came to $.62/round. All things considered, not a bad price.
  6. Yep, already gone. I've been using gunbot.net recently to track ammo prices. They are pretty up to date, and only show ammo that is in stock. They also give you the ppr price. It isn't a pretty site, but damn useful
  7. 500 rounds for $185. I know it's steel cased Russian 223, but right now, its a pretty great deal. Shipping was just under $25. http://www.jgsales.com/223-wpa-wolf-55gr-fmj,-500rd-case-p-453.html
  8. He gave me a fair price for 2 magazines and shipped them right away. A pleasure to do business with
  9. I'd agree 100% with you. No WWI = No WWI, no Cold War (and the myriad of proxy wars), no Arab-Israeli War, no Bosnian Genocide, no Saddam Hussein...
  10. That's what I thought. I'll text him asap.
  11. My co-worker recently was helping clean his father's house, and he came across a paratrooper M-1 carbine that was purchased in 1967. What is the legality of this firearm? Is it grandfathered in? If NOT, what should be done with it?
  12. Clearly, I didn't look over my original post. I want to trade my 20 gauge and get a 12 gauge. Thanks for picking up that typo.
  13. What I have here is a Remington 870 express in 20 gauge. The only reason I want to get rid of this is so I can get an 870 in 12 gauge (much easier to find barrels/ammo). I'm not great at writing classified ads, so here are the specs: Age: 2 years (purchased from Dick's) Finish: Black parkerized Round count: 0 (yep, I never shot this baby) Barrel: 28 inches Capacity: 4+1 I'll even throw in 4 20ga buckshot shells (each shell is filled with 20 no. 3 shot) I'm looking for $300 #250 obo. I'm also willing to accept a trade for a 870 in 12 gauge.
