  1. We looked at Samsung and LG side by side. Samsung was 2700. LG was 1500 at best buy. LG had a better picture to our eyes and we just couldnt justify the price tag of the Samsung
  2. LED LCD. Look into the LG's. Priced very good. We have a 47" going on 6 years and its great. If your running HDMI, get the 240hertz speed or whatever it is. Sharp Aquos are also great. I have a little 26" in the bedroom thats close to 15 years old now.
  3. I thought the online background check that you have to do is statewide but I could be wrong
  4. Oxidation that bad, ehh? Your gonna have to remove it via a fine wire wheel, fine steel wool, or a scothbrite pad and then re polish the aluminum after the white oxidation is gone. You might find bad pitting underneath..
  5. Wash wheel thoroughly to get brake dust off. Then use the nevrdull cotton wadding shit and elbow grease. The stuff I had was made by eagle 1 but I think Neverdull also has its own brand. Just check the spelling on Nevrdull.
  6. Ohh boy..lol When you submitted the application for the pistol permits, your PD shouldve given you a code and then you go onto the state website and apply for background check online that you pay 20 bucks for via credit card. The results get automatically sent back to PD online. I did mine the same day I submitted How much did you pay your PD? Maybe your PD still does it internally? I suggest you find out about your background check though.
  7. Well thats a damn shame... A gun is a hunk of steel. Or whatever and it dont matter where it comes from. If the LGS can't compete with online sales... Sucks to be them. I dont care where it comes from... If you need input from an LGS just looking to make a sale.. You best do your homework first.
  8. I dunno man but I get my guns a helluva a lot cheaper online via gunbroker and such. LGS are like a couple hundred more plus tax so fuck em... Sorry but thats the way it is....
  9. So... I got this Benchmade Adamas in the mail today. My jaw just about bounced off the floor. It is extremely beefy! And I mean extremely! One of the nicest, most hardcore folders I ever laid my hands on. I will update after I start using it. Super happy and just might be the best buck fiddy I ever spent! I almost want to say the Spyderco Millie is a joke compared to this upon first sight.....
  10. I had a Doberman pincher that could smell out a concealed pistol so I would have to say they do...lol
  11. Our neck of the woods gets real confusing, doesn't it? I am off Rt.35. When I moved, I made my DL South Amboy, when I went for the FID change, I thought Sayreville was going to give me a hassle but no questions asked. They cover like 4 towns..lol
  12. Same here. I pay taxes in Sayreville but my DL and FID are listed as South Amboy but I live in Morgan..
  13. The Spyderco Millie in a custom leather belt sheath is my current EDC er..one of my favs. I have big hands and prefer big blades.
  14. I cant do a small fixed blade unless I was able to conceal it completely and that can be difficult for me. Something in a pouch on my belt is best. How I usually carry. I agree with everything else you say though. Im 38, Im not a kid carrying a knife for no good reason.
  15. Somethings been on my mind and that other thread got me going so here is a topic for discussion. Auto side openers. Law states something to the effect of explainable lawful reason. Ok... Any given day or time I have to deploy my knife one handed to slash open a bag of material that is slung under my other arm or for other reasons to cut something while I am already holding something with my other hand. A button sure would be nice for this purpose. I would only be carrying it while at work mostly and I dont think I would ever have a problem if I did. I see cops all the time in my daily travels with my knives hangin in a belt sheath or clipped in pocket but visible and I have never been asked about them nor have I ever heard of a cop asking to see a knife. My knives are not for self defense and I hardly ever carry one when I go out at night. They are tools for a job and the button can come in handy..real handy! Am I understanding the law correctly? That I can have one but it better be a good reason not be hangin on a street corner at night with it? Does anyone else carry one? Opinions? Maybe some LEO can chime in? I really want the Benchmade Adamas auto but not sure I should invest in it. And Im not talking about an OTF or anything like that. So lets not even get into those.
