  1. Who cares? The left says and does horrible things all the time, and conservatives have no chance of winning here anyway.
  2. I get that way once I buy stuff for my collection. Just scratched off an arisaka and a revolver (model 10 38spl), so now I don't have any interest in getting thing for a while, even though I still need a carcano for my ww2 collection. Collecting guns is sort of like getting laid. You get your eye on something, look for a good deal, save up for it, get the paperwork, finally get it, feel satisfied, then lose interest for a while... ...least that's how I am Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
  3. I thought I was going to be the jerk and say, "You know, 9mm is only like $0.15 a shot..." I say that, but I spent over $2,000 for a cat I found outside work. The initial vet bill wasn't bad, he was perfectly healthy despite surviving in the wilderness for 6 months, walking from Connecticut to Cherry Hill NJ, just had some fleas and ticks. But I had a friend foster him until the gf could take him, then flew him to Boston to be with her at her apartment, but then between her allergies and some work stuff we needed to have him watched for just a week, and since my mom wouldn't let me bring him in for that week I ended up giving him to a college professor of mine... So in the end I get it, that does suck though I'm surprised it costs so much.
  4. I still have to shoot mine. Then again, I'm definitely a collector, I have a few that I take out, and everything else just sits around looking purdy.
  5. That really is your favorite rifle isn't it? Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
  6. I'm a steak junkie. For my 5 year anniversary with my girlfriend we went to Morimoto in Philly, I we shared 6 Oz of A5 Wagyu beef. It's one of the few things that lives up to the hype. The fat literally tasted like butter, and it melted in my mouth. Usually I just go to Texas roadhouse though, because it's cheaper. The second best steak I've ever had (and far more affordable) was a ribeye covered in bonemarrow butter at this place in Boston called Eastern Standard, that was a great steak. 7. So I know in reality the SPAS-12 isn't actually a really good firearm. I've heard they're prone to parts breakage and other issues. However, I can't deny that they look awesome. Something I've wanted to do for looks was to convert a Remington 870 into a SPAS clone. I know it's possible to put the stocks on them, but I've never seen anyone make a body kit that would add that iconic heat-shield and pump. I just wanted to throw the idea out there in case someone knew something about this that I didn't, or even how such a project could work. I imagine that reproducing the heat-shield would be relatively easy. Anyone know of a body kit, or way to make one? I'd want it for a pump action since I'd really just be going for the look. 8. I see a lot of people are selling mags, so i assumed that was in anticipation. Would Sweeney really table it? I sort of doubt he would. Would be nice though. Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
  9. I think everyone here has pretty much given up. It seems that once a law is passed, it never gets repealed, so the situation in NJ will never improve. Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
  10. Work was cancelled tonight due to snow, so I've been having a few drinks. While shoveling I had some hot apple cider with some "Apple Pie Moonshine mixed in, but the other drink I'm having is one that no one else seems to drink, so figured I'd spread the word. It was my poppop's favorite drink, Gin and Bitter Lemon. It's about 1 oz of Gin with a few ounces of Bitter Lemon (Soda water with Lemon juice and Quinine. Mix in a teaspoon of sugar if you like. It's great, and it seems to have kept the Malaria away from my Poppop.
  11. Still weird how an anime forum based off of the Japanese Futaba Channel has become this weird counter culture hub, and has had such an impact on the world. Either way 4chan is an interesting place, and while "oldies" (not going to use the actual term for fear of offending people), complain about "newbs", the overall board hasn't changed much over the years. 12. A shooter. RC is fine, just good operationally, if there are markings that would be cool too. I've tried rebuilding two of them from barreled receivers I stumbled upon in trades, but I'd need a smith to get them operational (namely matching the bolts, and checking them over). Not that I'd shoot it a lot, but it would be nice to have it as part of my collection. Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
  13. Damn. I need to find out more about estate sale things. I'm at I'll trying to get a decent deal on a k98 Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
  14. Figured I'd ask before I ever take it out. Still beautiful to look at, great piece for the collection. Thanks again for it! Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
