All - In the market for a .22 cal plinker / target / range gun. I've narrowed it down to three: 1. Ruger SR22 2. Sig / GSG 1911-22 3. Colt 1911-22 So far, I've heard some good reports about each. The Rugar is the newest (Jan 2012), and I really like the features and quality components. Ruger also probably has the best name when it comes to .22 rimfire ! I held the Colt and Sig yesterday at Shore Shot range .... both very nice. They both felt terrific. I wish I could find out who has the Ruger SR22 so that I could see how it feels. I have no interest in going for one of the older Buckmarks or Ruger MKs either...they just seem very outdated to me and are very clunky looking. I'm sure they are deadly accurate, but I'm willing to give up a bit of accuracy for something not so old-fashioned looking. I certainly like the $300-$375 price range I can get these for too !! Please tell me your thoughts, and hopefully experiences, regarding each of the above three (3) pistols. thanks in advance ! Dbl E GT

Thanks everyone for the suggestions! Definately some to try out. The Sigs and the H&K's are a bit out of the price range. I felt the sig was a bit clunky when i shot it. Definately might consider that PX4 though

My father (DblEGT) and I are in the market for a possible new 9mm pistol. We own a Beretta 92a1 which has been great to us. We came to that choice through process of elimination and we plan to do the same again. Suggest a pistol and why it would be a good choice, and we might try it at the range next time we go. Some people might suggest the M&P9 but I don't really like it at all. In my opinion (S&W lovers might get mad) the M&P9 felt cheap, and dinky. So leave a sugestion for a good pistol and why it is good. Our current ideas are these, but we're open to suggestions: - Glock 17 - XD or XDM - CZ - Beretta Px4 Thanks
