Thanks. I will. I could always use help. E-mail [email protected] to help out if you live in district 3 or know someone that does.

I'm doing something about it. I am collecting signatures right now to appear on the democratic primary ballot for district 3 assemblyman. I have done all the research over the last year to be in full compliance with all the election laws and campagin finance reporting. Even if I don't win I am learning much about the process to serve as a model for others to follow.

Many people here are talking about a strategy that is currently taking place in district 3 for the primary election on June 2nd. If you live in district 3, Sweeny's district, e-mail [email protected] to get involved. -

Is anyone on here from the third district? Stop posting here and get involved with running against the machines. http://njgunforums.com/forum/index.php/topic/74825-assembly-primaries-june-2nd-open-assembly-seat-district-3-–-volunteers-needed/ -
Unlike this effort that had good intentions, I know how the system works. And unlike the recall effort we are only talking about 2,000 votes to effect change. June primary approaching fast. See my recent post in this section. We are looking for representatives from the municipalities below that comprise District 3. Now is the time to act. Bad politicians don’t get voted out . . . Leaders get voted in. Email [email protected] to volunteer or ask questions. District 3 Includes: Alloway Bridgeton Carneys Point Clayton Deerfield East Greenwich Elk Elmer Elsinboro Franklin (Gloucester) Glassboro Greenwich (Gloucester) Logan Lower Alloways Creek Mannington National Park Newfield Oldmans Paulsboro Penns Grove Pennsville Pilesgrove Pittsgrove Quinton Salem South Harrison Swedesboro Upper Deerfield Upper Pittsgrove West Deptford Woodbury Heights Woodstown Woolwich

Effort includes obtaining signatures to appear on primary ballot, getting the word out about the candidate, and ensuring people vote in the primary. We are not sharing a complete strategy here as it is a public forum. However, two facts that should get folks excited as they represent opportunities. (1) Lack of a District 3 incumbent. Celeste Riley had to resign as she is the new Cumberland County clerk (2) Low voter turnout – NJ voter election turnout has been steadily decreasing and falls even lower when no national or governor race as will be the case this year. A little over 4,000 votes in total will be cast in the primary election on June 2nd. We only need the majority of this number to win. The goal isn't to have the Honda dealer or other advertiser sell less, the goal is to have them move their ad dollars. And when you get one person to say to them that they are buying an Accord but not from their dealership it will get their attention. Think of it from the point of view of a lost sale here and there, not from the point that they are still selling cars. When you want to change behavior look for at the economics.

Many posters here have it right. Aside from what the editors actually believe, they print these articles to drive web traffic. As tempting as it is to surf their websites to see what they write and comment, the solution is to write the advertisers and say you will not buy their products or services if they continue to advertise with the star ledger or nj.com. You have to cut off the revenue stream. With print failing they are still making money via online channels. Start with the advertisers and then little by little cut back on surfing their site. Believe me I know it is hard. Try finding an alternative site that is hopefully not biased. It is good for your blood pressure.

Got A Range Rover? Apply For CCW.

We must make this an issue and not let it fall out if the news. -
Agree with everyone's post here. Easy to get, lots of paper work. Got mine in about 45 days about 7 months ago. Also no one above mentioned that you do need to show that you already have a ccw from another state for the CT non-resident. It doesn't have to be from your home state, any state will do. I made a copy of my FL ccw license and included that in the package.

I just put I travel to CT often for work and stay for weeks at a time.

NJ ANTI-GUN BILL COUNT NOW UP TO 76! – 03/24 /13
Donato replied to bhunted's topic in Pending Legislation Discussion
Age doesn't matter. There are plenty of people not registered from all ages brackets. I didn't say this was an easy task, that is why I called it a challenge. All I am advocating is to take the same passion and energy that you used to respond to my post and channel it into getting some more boots on the ground. It is very easy for all of us including myself to type out messages and hit send. It takes another level of conviction to get out and and talk to people in person and listen to their concerns. We need to get the right people in office, regardless of political affiliation. -
