Hexmag 15/30 AR magazines $11.99 free shipping
Artyguy replied to DirtyDigz's topic in Hot Deal Discussions
My brother ordered me 4 from wise tactical last month. I've had zero issues with them so far. If I remember correctly bullseye tactical supply in Woodbridge had a bunch of them though, I'm not 100% on what the price is. -
If they are steel use a mig welder to tac the floor plate to the body. If they are aluminum you can either braze the floor plate on or use a tig welder. Of course, I'm sure there are other ways of going about this but I personally would use the ways I mentioned.

What did you take to the range most recently?
Artyguy replied to MidwestPX's topic in Ranges & Gun Shops
Had a "bro" day at the range this past weekend in Woodland Park. Took my AR and my brother brought his Sig P250 9mm. One hell of a great time, although it doesn't suck being limited to an hour. -
Re-evaluate your first aid/medical supplies
Artyguy replied to Babyface Finster's topic in NJ Prepared
I learned this 9 years ago when I was stabbed in newark. After coming home from the hospital I went through tape, gauze and ointment very quickly. I keep a decent stock at home, but I'll admit I skimped on the first aid kit in my bag. I'll have to go through it and add certain things like bandages and tape. -
You need essentials in your bag not high speed low drag gear. Focus on food, undergarments, extra ammo, and basic survival supplies.

Saw that there's an "official" thread for this. Moving it there.

Can't remember exactly how much each part was, but in total I dumped just under 1200 into it minus optic.

I focus on carbon buildup, the bore and chamber. A quick scrub of the carrier and bolt then wipe down and lube. 20 minutes max.

Next indoor range design.. longer port walls for the rifle guys..
Artyguy replied to Barms's topic in Ranges & Gun Shops
I shoot my AR indoors and I always try to stand as far back in the port as possible. I enjoy sitting next to ar's at the range but not everyone is like me. A little curtesy can go a long way. -
I drilled a Troy brake with a Stanley bit and a drill press. Slow is smooth, smooth is fast applies here.

Magpul has handguards for 37 bucks or so. Those are the ones on my rifle.

Yeah, to tell you the truth the only reason I bought that upper was because that was the only upper psa had in stock at the time. Had I known that it was going to take 11 months to get ID card I would have waited and gotten a better deal. Either way I love it. Here's a shot the day I picked up the lower and put it all together.

I built one. Cost me a hell of a lot more than 325 though. Got any pics?

NJ FID/PP Compliancy Project

Just spoke to the clerk in Linden about doing a change of address. He told me since I was going from one town to another I would have to get finger printed again. Anyone else get told this? -
The carbon on the bolt tail is easily removed with a knife or any other sharp object. I used a small pocket knife when I was in the service to do that job. If there was a lot of carbon build up on that part of the bolt, I would scrape as much off as I could then soak it in clp while I cleaned the rest of the rifle. I remember when they issued us Otis cleaning kits, hated it so much. All that extra stuff and I used maybe a quarter of the tools.
