  1. I didn’t mean all other states. Just that others have not been.
  2. Okay, say you get the new qualifier done, how do you update your permit?
  3. Not sure why my comment disappeared. Here is it again. Thomas Jefferson gave us the instructions on clearing these types in infestations on July 4 1776. James Madison gave us the means to do it on December 15 1791.
  4. Other states have not been allowed to be infested by tyrants, yet.
  5. That's an interesting point... A buddy of mine send me the link this morning, but there seems to be confusion on what happens to current permit holders. A portion of the proposed law stated that the new requirements had to be met by current holders within 90 days, but I am not sure if that is the in the final law, part of the injunction or part of the stay. If the G4H qual is "substantially similar" and I did my qual there, do we have a way of proving it seeing as how the NJSP took the originals?
  6. Ikea in Elizabeth is a nogo, but it seems to be an Ikea all over policy, they are the same way in Charlotte.
  7. Again, I’m not arguing the benefits or detriments of having a safety on the pistol for “all the other times”. The original comment I was talking about made it seem like having the safety there did something magical once the pistol is already in the holster. As for the “the final click”; if you cleared your holster prior to re-holstering it’s not a concern. There is never a need to holster as fast as you need to draw. Look down, clear your garment, insert the gun slowly. We all know this. Saying you need a manual safety to holster safely is like saying; “im going to be negligent when holstering do I need a mechanical device to make sure I won’t blow by balls off”. In which case, maybe just open carry? Don’t carry at all? I dunno. I don’t think I agree with the AR analogy since it’s never holstered where the trigger can’t be accessed. You sling your rifle, trigger is out in the open to catch on anything. Pistol, in a holster, not so much. like I said, I’m ONLY talking about the comment which made it seem like a holstered gun is safer with a manual safety. Once it’s in the holster, there is no difference, at least to me. And getting to the holster is just personal responsibility.
  8. Okay, so who’s to say you’re going to remember to flip that safety when you need to draw? It works both ways. I just don’t see how in your pants, in a good holster, the manual safety is doing anything to protect your twig and berries over a striker fired gun. In the holster it’s doing literally nothing. the original post I replied to made it seem like a manual safety is somehow helping the gun not shoot your nuts off.
  9. The point is that they are no less safe than those with a manually operated safeties. Safe operation relies on the switch between the ears, not the one on the slide. Pot meet kettle when you poo poo the carrying of striker fired guns.
  10. Too many people make the thumb safety some kind of magic totem. It isn’t.
  11. Meh. Been carrying a Glock or a Zev AIWB for 3+ years now. Is your dick pulling the trigger? If the gun is in a good holster not sure it makes any difference.

    BCM?

I don’t think BCM needs to pander to the latest fad. They make tool guns which you can’t rely on with your life. I don’t need them to do anything new, I just want them to make more of what they already have, LOL
  13. Claw yes. My T1C holsters have a claw and it works well. My friend tried the wedge and said it was uncomfortable for no added benefit over the claw.
  14. I’m not in NJ anymore and I still carry a spare mag. 15+1 in the gun and 20 in the spare. If we ever really get these permits I’m carrying two extra mags so I can have 31 rounds. One in the side of the holster and one in my pocket. Gonna need a new holster since mine is made for +5 Shield Arms mags, may not work with factory G48 mags.
  15. I print all the time since I wear a size small shirt. DGAF. Don’t forget that just because you know you’re printing because you know what is under your shirt doesn’t mean others know what to look for. The overwhelming majority of people are incredibly ignorant and unaware of their surroundings. You do you dude and F everyone else.
