  1. Both Hoboken and Westfield contact your employer, in addition to the TWO provided references.
  2. My blade is very slightly off centered. I'm sure I could fix by loosening and tightening everything up, but it really doesn't bother me. No issues with the grind.
  3. Just got my Benchmade 940-1. Carbon fiber handle and S90V blade. Love it!!
  4. Just picked up a Benchmade 531, first production run. It's awesome. Super light weight, G10 handles and 154cm blade.
  5. I just picked up the new Benchmade 531. It's awesome. Will be my new EDC.
  6. Thanks for sharing that article. It really puts this situation into the correct perspective.
  7. Global Digital Solutions makes offer for Remington Outdoor Company for more than $1 billion. http://www.guns.com/2014/03/11/global-digital-solutions-makes-offer-remington-outdoor-company/ And so it begins. Do you think Remington will sell out or stand firm? I wonder if Bloomberg has anything to do with this offer...
  8. Talon Grips will be releasing grips for the H&K P30 very soon. I was fortunate enough to get my hands on a set early. I installed them yesterday, and I can say the grips are a huge improvement. Don't get me wrong, the P30 grip ergonomics are like none other, however the gritty and hard plastic grip inserts are not very comfortable on the hands. I got the rubber texture Talon Grips, they should also come in the rougher sand paper like material that Talon also offers. I can't wait for my next range trip!
  9. Below is an excerpt from KnifeRights.org, regarding the "do you have any weapons" question. "If asked whether or not there are any weapons in the car, immediately be aware that you are in danger of becoming a victim of an anti-knife arrest. This question may be handled in many ways. However, my personal response is to ask the officer why I am being asked that question. The answer to this question goes directly to the issue of probable cause. Why are you being asked whether you have weapons in the car? Is this simply a fishing expedition on behalf of the officer or is it because spent shell casings are in plain view on the front seat? If it is a fishing expedition, then that question is clearly unjustified. If there are spent shell casings on the seat, then regardless of your answer you are probably looking at having your vehicle and person searched. The key here is not to give any excuses for a vehicle search. (E.g., items left in plain view, expired motor vehicle licenses, odd behaviors, etc.) If you obey the law and act in a practical and intelligent manner, you should be able to avoid vehicle/person searches."
  10. Just remember, it's a tool and not a weapon. It's not for self defense. You carry a knife to perform daily tasks like cutting boxes, opening letters, cutting fruit/food, etc. You also carry it incase you need to cut your seat belt in the event of a vehicle emergency. Blade length in NJ doesn't matter, as long as you have a justifiable reason why you're carrying a knife. Know how to properly interact with the police and you should be fine.
  11. I just ordered a Spyderco Paramilitary 2, all black... Should get here Friday.
  12. Well first off all never carry with a pocket clip in NYC. NYPD look for that. If you must carry a knife in NYC it should be concealed. Also make sure there is no way to flick it open by shaking the knife, otherwise NYPD will either confiscate your knife or arrest you. I'm not sure of the blade length restrictions, you'll want to check that.
  13. The Benchmade 940 is neither an assisted open or gravity knife. I've been carrying one for over a year in NJ with no problems. However, like I said earlier do not carry the 940 in NYC...
