For a Mk III, you'll probably need a soft (plastic/rubber) mallet to separate the barrel from the grip during a deep cleaning. There are also a few specialty tools to flip the spring latch (on the back of the grip) open and drive out the bolt catch. Also, lots of patience the first few times you do it. I now disassemble my Mk III down to every last component for a good cleaning. Watch out for tiny springs and ball detents to go flying. Replacing the hammer bushing to eliminate the magazine disconnect makes it a lot easier to re-assemble as well.

Thankfully I've taken care of some of the bigger stuff (roof, windows, etc.) over the last few years, in preparation for a move. Unfortunately I bought in 2006 when houses were still a bit pricey, so while I'm not upside-down, I won't be raking in huge profits either. It helps that my company is paying all re-location costs though (home closing costs, moving company, etc.). -

Congrats... I'll be right behind you although I'm heading a bit farther south - near Greenville, SC. Just accepted a job transfer/promotion a few weeks ago. I'm flying down next week to get a lease started on a house, and will be listing my NJ home for sale shortly afterwards. -
What would the modification be in this case? I'm guessing it takes standard AR mags. Even if it didn't, you'd still get arrested while the state tries to figure out if a small tab/cutout/clip on the magazine makes it different enough to not be considered usable in a semi-automatic. Actually, by that I mean they'll try to figure out why it *doesn't* make it different enough.

Maybe he doesn't want to unload a ladder from an 8 foot tall roof... Heck, I've met DeerSlayer, he may need that tiny transit van

Chevy makes vans... Ford and Dodge make some tiny and/or ass-ugly euro style high roof abominations.

The 5.4 was a dog... I hope the Ford 6.2 is better since that's what I have in my 150.

My older truck is going on 16 years old. Yes, your jeep looks awesome but it's a second vehicle with thousands of dollars of fixes/modifications that I'm guessng isn't subject to the daily grind, salty winters, etc. For fun/offroad they probably can't be beat.

Reliable + Jeep/Chrysler = Haha!

Maybe for some people that are fast runners or good kickers, it's a viable option... what about the elderly, or wheelchair bound citizens, or those with other disabilities? The problem with all-encompassing state laws like NJ has is that they don't just take away a last resort tool from the able bodied... it may be taking away the ONLY tool capable of being "wielded" by others who can't run or kick or fist fight back with someone bigger, faster, or stronger than them. Do they "want" to shoot someone? Heck no. But they also don't want to be killed by someone, even if they are "only" being attacked with a knife or a baseball bat. -

Which you also cannot do in NJ outside the home... that's the point. NJ has taken that "last resort" choice away from you. -

I have a job interview down in Greenville, SC this week. Depending on how that goes my time in NJ may be winding down... -
Shipping time from Palmetto to Andover Hunt and Fish

I've bought all of my guns except one from Garrett's shop (some when it was still YOJ, though). They've been able to price match the last few online deals. Ends up the same cost as a transfer (within a few bucks) but it's one less vendor to worry about.
