  1. The important date is when you first got your FPIC. If you have a non-expiring one, when you move and do a change of address you will still have a non-expiring one. The $50 fee isn't grandfathered, sadly.
  2. Health comes first. Besides, how can we complain about you giving stuff away?
  3. There is no right answer.
  4. The 550 is not a true progressive as it does not auto index, right? I'm in the process of selling myself on a XL750. For a starter press, you can't go far wrong with a Lee Classic Turret. It is cheap, auto indexes, and swapping calibers is easy. NB. If you go for a manually indexed press and work multiple cartridges at once, be particularly careful to monitor the powder drop stage to avoid no powder or double charges. With an auto indexing press the risk is way lower.
  5. Brownells offering a limited time discount. $159.99 each for SSA and SSA-E triggers. http://enews.email.brownells.com/q/ZtkDVMR3DEAt0Xt1RgtrJchwGvemYfYz8P7ZcOJc2NhcmVjcm93MTkwOEBnbWFpbC5jb23DiAidYM9fPhdZLqzeVQ7w8T9-4DRBA
  6. Or contact your PD to fix the problem.
  7. Check the primers on the ammo you didn't shoot yet. Are they fully seated? If the primer is not just below flush with the back of the case, the first hit can seat it better then the second hit ignites it.
  8. This mindset baffles me. Shooting is a depreciating skill. If you don't practice, you will become worse at it. If you value your life enough to want to defend it, why would you rely on a skill that you don't practice? If the best I can do on a good day is scrape a pass on CCARE, I would be determined to get better at shooting - and yes I did see that you scored 98% - but your attitude appears to be that you shouldn't have to practice first. Trying to give you the benefit of the doubt, perhaps you mean that the government should not mandate that you have to meet any kind of standard before you can carry. I agree. There should not be any mandated quals. However, only a fool would be carrying a gun he can't use effectively. It does little to protect himself and creates a danger to everyone else because the misses will go on to hit something or someone after they miss the intended target.
  9. You're forgetting that we're much lazier now. Those lances were really heavy. If someone can't use a gun, it's hard to imagine them bothering to fight at all.
  10. I do not think the posts in the ads section count towards the post count. If @OJ North Jersey participated in the discussion forums he would gain the ability to send PMs. I think it is 10 posts minimum.
  11. If you were running a commercial range, would like the risk of having to call "clean-up on lane 3" when someone knocks their bottle of solvent over? They would have to shut down the entire line if any of it spilled forward.
  12. It seems pretty simple to me. Many politicians are lawyers. They push these dumb laws through, full in the knowledge that they will be challenged in court. That means their lawyer buddies get a lot of money - none of them work for cheap. The Judges get paid to listen to the BS. The lawyers in the AG's office get paid to defend the BS. Our lawyers get paid to challenge the BS. It is a huge money making scheme that benefits no-one but the lawyers. ...and lawyers wonder why they are one of the most despised professions.
  13. If any of them have a bayonet lug, that has to go too. The key features are the VFG and a minimum overall length of 26". The barrel length is not a problem. There are longer than milspec receiver extensions that will make an AR with a shorter barrel legal as a non-NFA Other.
