  1. Probably better off. Unless they want to spend a few bucks. Having to use your own tape because they did not have any and having to make USPSA tagrgets out of IDPA targets is not what this sport needs. And lets not even get started on how you get the range later and later every time and then have to reclean the floors because they are too slippery. If you are going to do it, do it right.
  2. Lax ROs? I read his post twice, what transgressions are you talking about? Or were you there and saw something but are keeping it to yourself?
  3. So you don't know my age but you would wager that you have been shooting and competing for longer than I have been on this earth? Well that would make you pretty damn old. I know a lot of you old guys start having issues with memory and reading comprehension, so I will type this slowly to help you comprehend, and put it in all caps because maybe the lower case letters are harder for you to see. I HAVE STATED NUMEROUS TIMES THAT SOMEONE THAT IS NOT REGISTERED AND PARTICIPATING IN A MATCH HAS NO PLACE TOUCHING TARGETS. What exactly are you seeing when you read my posts? How is it that someone like yourself, that has been shooting and competing for longer than I have been on this earth, cannot see that having a non-match participant touch targets and walk stages is a bad idea? And then you call me an elitist snob? Haha. Put your spectacles on and take a good look in the mirror old timer, then you may see what an elitist snob looks like.
  4. haha. Impose my attitude? My attitude is that people that are not shooting in the match should not be invited to come tape and touch targets by anyone other than a Match Director. Why would you impose an attitude like that? Especially in a place where someone could get hurt. While I am serious about this sport, I am do not consider keeping non-participants out of the shooting areas and away from stages and targets as overbearing. If a new shooter is put off because he is not allowed to walk up and touch targets, he really needs to reconsider this sport. Would that same shooter get mad if he goes to a baseball game and they won't let him walk out and touch home plate? Would he stop watching baseball forever? If so, why would you want to give someone that stupid a weapon? It appears you do not see how irresponsible your attitude is. Maybe you should step back and think about it.
  5. No, only the registered match participants that would rather talk than tape. This is a shooting sport, some of us are pretty serious about it. The people that want to spend more time talking than shooting should probably look at IDPA. And being that it is a shooting sport, with a danger level if someone gets distracted, why on earth would you want a bunch of people that are not involved in the match, walking around getting involved in a match that they are not even shooting in? That makes no sense at all. I am not sure where you shoot, but I doubt the Match Director there would want people not involved in the match to be walking around and touching targets.
  6. Until someone that does not know better gets excited and tapes before the target is scored. Then its a reshoot. And when the match starts at 6pm as it is, what time will it end? So it does take some intelligence. And there can be too many tapers, and they start talking and grab-assing. How about instead of asking others to help tape, we just get the rest of the squad to stop bullshitting and actively tape? Why is that so hard? This place draws a lot of very new to this sport, shooters. They start taping the first couple of shooters and then they are all bullshitting in the background while one or two people tape everything.
  7. Did you also stay at a Holiday Inn Express? Do you really want to have people that never shot a match come to a match and help tape? Sounds like a great way to cause reshoots and just screw things up in general.
  8. Zeroing it out kinda stinks. the score sheet says 11:46, when I time it I get between 21 and 22 seconds. Its possible the time was 21:46 and the scorer fat fingered it. Its still pretty fresh, why cant we ask the shooter, RO, and the scorer if they remember if the time, or if it was 21:46. Its worth a shot. If it was 21:46, how does that effect the winners and ranking of the match? Its a shitty situation. but going forward, maybe we can mention that the shooter, RO, and scorer all take a look at the timer and the nook before it is saved. Maybe we can get a positive out of this and avoid it in the future?
  9. Looking at the video it looks pretty clear that the stage took 21 to 22 seconds. I would bet that the scorekeeper was trying to type 21 seconds and fat-fingered it like Vlad mentioned and accidentally hit 11 seconds. Seems like a pretty easy error to fix, right? Honest mistake.
  10. I understand that. My question is when will the data from September and October be reflected on the USPSA site? Has it been sent in? or is there a problem with the USPSA side? Its been a couple of months, I just want to know where I really stand with my classification.
  11. So the date you shoot them does not matter? It factors them in based on the date USPSA enters them? Well hopefully they will get sent in before this weekends match at Old Bridge. Or does anyone know if they have already been submitted?
  12. Anybody? Any idea? Anyone know if these two match scores from previous months will be uploaded to USPSA before next weeks match at Old Bridge? And if they are uploaded now, will the scores from 9/22 even get factored in or are they already too old to count towards our classifier percentages?
  13. I see the USPSA ran the classifier calculations again. How come there are no scores for the Old Bridge matches on 9/22 and 10/27? When will those get sent in to the USPSA site? Shouldn't those classifier stages count?
