  1. To update you guys I got someone to respond! After talking to my aunt (who cleaned out the house and sold it) and racked her memory she said she remembered seeing a piece of paper with gun looking stuff on it. However she didn't think it was important so she claims she threw it out. I believe this to be a lie, she's a liberal that hates guns. Anyways, I mentioned that conversation to my uncle (not her husband, other uncle) when he was in town and he said he overheard her while he was helping clean the house out that "they are never gonna get those guns" in a hehehe kinda way, and that she had helped my grandmother sell the collection to a friend of my grandfathers for $2,500. Now we are talking about $20,000+ worth of firearms (apparently he had a super rare safari rifle), so it shouldn't be that hard to find someone who got the "deal of the century". I asked her about it and it was "oh yeah now I remember" type thing. However, all I am hearing is crickets. I've tried to contact everyone that knew him and everyones playing dumb. Guess my grandfathers guns will never end up in the hands of his grandchildren and great grandchildren because of some evil liberal bitch and a greedy bastard somewhere. Oh well.
  2. I know its a shot in the dark. However he always had them locked up, we weren't able to see the bill of sale for the guns, and we don't know the name of the individual that bought them. We are hoping that someone that knew him from that area might know who bought the guns. We have called pawn shops and a few collectors up there, but so far nothing.
  3. Hello all. My name is Rowland T. Seckinger, son of Rowland B. Seckinger, grandson of Rowland S. Seckinger. My father and I live in Savannah, GA, while my grand father lived in Nyack and Keyport, NJ. He was known by most in the community. Was a volunteer firefightersMy grand father passed away in Feb. 2009. He had a nice gun collection which included some weapons from when he served in WW2. He was USAF and US Marine veteran. We know for sure there was a Gov. Issued Colt 1911, a M1 Garand, trench shotgun, and a few more long guns and handguns. We wanted his collection, however he was taken from us unexpectedly and the guns were not in his will. Noone else in the family besides my father and I like, much less collect guns, however his wife didn't want the siblings fighting over the guns so she sold them to someone as a group purchase. She passed last year, making tracking who bought them nearly Impossible. He was a Volunteer firefighter (Lincoln Hose Company I think), Lighthouse curator, and chairman of the Keyport Environmental Commission. He had a sailboat named Kitty Wake, he lived on the bay, his house just sold, address was 60 Walnut St. I know he worked in Bound Brook, NJ. He was a Boy Scout Leader, Solomon Lodge Mason, Twin Lights Historical Society, etc etc etc. he was involved in a lot. Please help me. www.keyportonline.com/content/1025/1165/default.aspx
