  2. Thank you very much for the assistance. I was able to print a copy from the website. Regards- Pineracer
  3. Finally got the green light join up and plan on going to the new member meeting next Wednesday. In reviewing the new member info they require your NRA membership card, which I have been patiently waiting for for a couple of weeks. I do have the confirmation with my NRA member number via email but in researching it seems like the card may take a few more weeks to arrive. I know there are several active CJRPC members on this site and hope that some would entertain my question given the above: will I be able to proceed with membership without the card in hand if I can show email with member number? Thank you in advance- Pineracer
  4. I can't imagine anyone would buy that crap. Can get better deals on craigslist for residential quality tools and beat safes. Very disappointing. Pineracer
  5. I just picked up a Powertac E5 at the Oaks, Pa show and am very impressed. Four brightness settings and a strobe effect. Comes with rail attachment, pressure switch, lanyard and extra O-rings. At 950 Lumens on it's highest setting the things lights up the night. http://powertacusa.com/flashlights/E5-Weapons-Kit Pineracer
  6. I second PARKPLUS. A bit tricky to find but fast, convenient and cheapest. For $9 bucks a day you get valet service and immediate drop-off, pick-up. Easy access back out to the Turnpike too! Pineracer
  7. Barrett is ready, just say the word: Hope those pictures work, I am a bit technologically indifferent. Pineracer
  8. Barrett needs to get broken in yet. I am only 5 miles from CJRPC so can make it if it's a weekend. Been wanting to check the place out. Pineracer.
  9. I will say that the young gentleman who was manning the store the Friday night I visited was extremely cordial. He seemed quite sheepish when showing me their "inventory". Hopefully the kid won't be affected by the purported misdeeds of the owner. Good luck to all invested. Pineracer
  10. I went in there ONCE. Could not believe that I was in the place everyone spoke so glowingly about. I spent two minutes looking at the thrashed ratty guns they had walked out and vowed never to return. While it sucks a range in NJ closed, these guys didn't deserve to stay open. Hope nobody but the principals get screwed, but I doubt it. Pineracer
  11. Stag makes a great gun. They have a lifetime warranty too, compared to Barrett's 1 year. I took a long hard look at the piston driven 8T plus before purchasing the Barrett. Both a fine weapons. That .308 looks fantastic also. Would love to see one in action as I can't decide if want bolt action with tactical chassis or AR type. Pineracer
  12. Old Topic but just saw it- Barrett Customer Support is top notch. I had a small issue with my Gen 2 and sent an email around 8am one morning. I received a call from the Head of the Gen 2 project team in 20 minutes. Guy was super cool and willing to do anything to fix the issue. At this stage in my life I value that kind of support, as I really don't have time mess with "toy" issues. Is that support worth the premium Barrett charges for their AR? Only the individual can say, but for me it's a resounding yes! If you can afford it, fantastic, if not enjoy what you can afford. They all spit lead out the business end. Pineracer
  13. Stopped in today for some work on my AR. Very nice people and great prices. They has. .22 in stock and on sale too! I will definitely be back for more toys. Pineracer
  14. Thanks for all the insight and direction. I know you had all heard the saying : "you can lead a horse to water, but.......". I surely hope my friend takes the advice I have given him and calls an expert. Lord knows I have been relentless as I feel somewhat responsible. Best Regards Pineracer
  15. Well it almost went to the Monmouth County gun buy back but some folks (ahem cough cough) talked them out of it. Not remotely gun people so now they are nervous. I am relieved to tell them they can dispose of the gun legally through an FFL, because they do need the money. Regards- Pineracer
