  1. Caldwell Lead Sled DFT - 49% off - $99.99 https://www.amazon.com/Caldwell-336647-Lead-Sled-DFT/dp/B000X7AJP6/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1480084638&sr=8-1&keywords=Caldwell+Lead+Sled+DFT
  2. Looks like 7 will be used as well. I can still help setup and/or breakdown if needed.
  3. As I don't plan on participating in the event but will be shooting on 7, is there any opportunity to get some club work hours tomorrow?
  4. Either that or he was concerned about a mountain lion walking off with his $5k worth of scar mods and optics. BTW, it appeared to be a member's guest as I did not see a club ID. I have seen other members solo practice transition shooting from single point carry to a sidearm draw and visa versa down the 50 yard range.
  5. I wouldn't want to but I saw someone do it and questioned if it was allowed.
  6. Please let us know if the new mags they sent you worked out ok.
  7. Another question... When there is an agreement to cease fire and head down range to change targets, can you walk down range with your rifle slung tight to your body, safety flag in chamber, and mag removed or do you need to leave your rifle at the firing line bench? http://www.obrpc.org/outdoor_range_rules.htm Thanks.
  8. Thanks Vlad. I read the rules for Range 7 but I wasn't sure as there was no mention of the type of targets allowed.
  9. Don't mean to hijack this thread but can a fellow member who spend more time at the outdoor range than me tell me if I'm allowed to bring my own steel popper to the 100 yrd range and shoot 556? I was thinking it was paper only.
  10. Thanks everyone for all the warm welcomes. I just became a probationary member at OBRPC yesterday. From what I hear, I'm sure I'll really like what I see at the CJRPC range but regardless of the facilities, I couldn't justify the travel time when OBRPC is just 5-10 minutes from my home.
  11. Yes, on the rare occasion I'm back in the neighborhood it's ether Randazzos, Brennan & Carr, Roll N Roaster, L&B Spumoni Gardens or the original Nathan's .
  12. Hello all, My name is Dave. I'm originally from Sheepshead Bay, Brooklyn and a long time supporter of 2A rights, however, I just became a LEGAL handgun owner today for the first time. Back in the day, I went hunting and skeet shooting with friends and family in upstate NY and was recently reintroduced to shooting by a friend. My primary reason for ownership is home defense but I'll see if I get any better at shooting and perhaps I'll turn this into an expensive sport/hobby. I also kayak and snow ski which can be very expensive as well so let's see where this takes me. I have a 2nd permit so I'm already eyeing another firearm. A big shout out to Steve from Monmouth Arms for handling my XDM 9mm 3.8 transfer today with great professionalism and patience. Not to mention I had quite a few laughs in his office. It was truly a great first time buying experience. I'm currently shooting on some private property in PA but plan to decide on and apply for membership to a local range in the near future -- I will be guest visiting both CJRPC and OBRPC. On a final note, I lurked here for quite a few weeks leading up to my purchase to educate myself on various topics so I'd like to give a big thanks to all the members who contribute to this forum.
