  1. Last I spoke with Sivin at GFH, if the transfer was coming to GFH, they would refuse delivery and return to sender. Then advise the member, to contact the sender to send it one door over to Ottomanellis. GFH was covering the costs if you booked the transfer through PayPal. if you go direct to Ottomannellis its $100 for the first firearm and additional charges for each additional transferred at the same time. Best to reach out to Sivin @GFH directly if you have a pending transfer or are thinking about sending a transfer to GFH.
  2. Be advised, per Sivin at GFH/Woodland Park Range; they cannot handle transfers at this time as they are waiting for their NJ State Police renewal for their FFL to handle transfers. They are not notifying those with incoming transfers via their PayPal portal. They Simply Refuse To accept Delivery from the carrier and then notify the GFH member via email. See below for email. Thier process is to have returned to sender and shipped to OSA next door. Which creates a logistics issue just on shipping and are covering any additional fees. Email from Sivin: First and foremost, we would like to sincerely apologize for the inconvenience regarding our FFL Transfer service. We are currently waiting for our NJ State Firearm’s License Renewal and cannot accept firearms at this time. Unfortunately we must refuse acceptance of your firearm, therefore it must be sent back to the shipping FFL, then shipped to Ottomanelli’s Sporting Arms to accept in our stead. We will cover any additional shipping charges you may incur. In true brotherhood fashion as 2nd Amendment advocates, Ottomanelli’s Sporting Arms has stepped up to aid us with the continuation of your member perk for firearm transfers. Once it arrives, your firearm(s) will be available for pickup at Ottomanelli’s Sporting Arms (right next door from the range, approximately 150 feet from our entrance) as we will assist you with the completion of your firearm purchase until further notice. WHAT YOU DO: If applicable, contact the seller to inform them the firearm is to be shipped to Ottomanelli’s Sporting Arms. (Woodland Park Range will not receive firearms at this time). FIREARMS MUST BE NJ COMPLIANT. WHAT WE’LL DO: We will forward a copy of the most current FFL on behalf of Ottomanelli’s Sporting Arms. We will contact the shipping FFL and advise them of the temporary change of FFL. We will notify you as soon as the firearm arrives at Ottomanelli’s Sporting Arms. When you have your paperwork/permits ready to retrieve your firearm(s), please come to the range and we will personally assist you with your transfer at Ottomanelli’s. We will notify you immediately as soon as our license is renewed. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Sivin Rosado or Rob Howe. [email protected] [email protected]
  3. I can attest to that. Not sure how they stay in business, their used gun rack has some gems every now and then. Masterarms is the place to go in that area of Sloatsburg, NY; (literally 5 minutes north of Davis)
  4. +1 for Joe at Mastodon .I was at mastodon the other day, he had a few surplus rifles, 1917 or 1903a3 (not sure which, only saw bottom) through sks. give Joe a call at 973-764-9550 to check on what he has. Shop is near Cherry ridge range in highland lakes, NJ.
  5. 2.5 weeks and permits are ready. Literally cut the time in 1/2.
  6. Great shop shredding that ridiculous document
  7. Just applied for purchase permits. My local pd informed me that I had to use the online form and pay $20.00 (includes $2.00 service fee)through the nj portal. No more paper forms on "non criminal" background check. Has anyone else used this online form portal and has it shortened the processed or delayed it? My local pd is usually very good about the process, but I guess this is a new requirement from nj state police.
  8. Big Mack, I went to see the Yankee Armorer in Mahwah, NJ. He is At 107 Miller road, Mahwah, NJ 07430 201-512-0002. He has a small storefront, by appointment only. Charles Kaplan is WWII Airborne veteran and he runs & owns the shop. He specializes in Pre 1945 Military Firearms. He has a number of lugers, p38s, US GI 1911s, and other various firearms. He handled an FFL transfer for me, from a shop in NY for a glock 19. He is a very nice guy, and he has some impressive WWII era firearms.
  9. Took over 3 hours to get response. Had to go back and end of day to pick it up.
  10. Great looking piece of history there. I was just in a local store, I recently found out about; and he had a shelf of 6-8 lugers each one was beautiful and its the first time I have seen that many in one place.
  11. Been close to two hours today and still no response, from a request initiated today
  12. Working with the family now to plan our journey to free America, Our boys are still young, and I'm not sure I want them growing up in the North East. I'm from the lower Hudson valley in NY originally and my wife is from Brooklyn. We lived in both in addition to Bergen county now. And to be honest we are in great town, but the cost of living and daycare is far out pacing our salaries. Our property taxes have doubled since we bought our house, with out any major changes to it.
  13. Congratulations on moving to Texas. I had the pleasure of working in Houston from 2011-2013, it is paradise in my opinion. Top gun range near the galleria is nice, but can be pricey, The Texas CHL instructor there is great. Lecture, paperwork, lecture, live fire event which you have to pass in the same 4-5 Hours. Don't miss out on the loaded baked potatoes at the BBQ joints, they take a huge baked potato and put butter, cheese, and your choice of Pulled pork, links, chopped beef, etc. on it for under $10 with a drink. Texas is a top choice for our relocation plans.
  14. Just added Williams fire Sights, put 100 CCI-minimags through it, no problems what so ever. Great improvement over the standard sights. Switched to Aquilla 40 grn copper plated 22 interceptor, failure to feed every few rounds barely made it through a box of 50 had 1 bad primer strike. I'm guessing the 22/45lite is not a fan of the aquilla.
