While there are materials that are chemical inpregnated materials that will reduce fogging on lens mostly used in motor cross and chemistry protective suit usage. There are far more and less expensive liquids that can be easily applied to lens to prevent fogging. Almost any soap ( surfactant) will work as well. As far Amber lens they simple nightlight certain colors to the eye. Clear lens work better.

Quickest permit turnaround time?
Airdale26 replied to gunnarsport's topic in Firearm Hobby / Sport Discussion
Fastest permit turnaround was one week.Ewing, NJ (mercer co) used the new online made the approintment with PD and received permit in hand in 1 week. -
As far as I have read the existing laws in NJ, the erma werke is similar in design, size as the M1 carbine except for the obvious caliber. NJ gun Ban addresses this very clearly. It is very nice rifle, built by the Germans and mimics the M1 extremely well. I know Ft Dix rod and gun range does not allow them. If anyone else know different please advise.

I have a 40 caliber version. Works flawlessly. 3 yrs old and 8000 round love the lifetime warranty Parts are easily found if needed. If I had to do over again I would go with 9mm as being cheaper then 40 and standardize ammo to one or two calibers That just my preference. Rifle mags and pistol mags are the same. Another advantage

If money was not an issue. FN FIVE SEVEN is a different caliber, handling character ics . Many of the posted types are good as well and depends upon your desire. -
Kids or no kids. Lock them up. I would highly advise the use of lockable safe either the combination type or key operated. or at the very least a trigger lock. The safes keep them secure when your not at home or away for any length of time. I feel that a safe is better as they are secure from theft if you use just a trigger lock. It will only take a individual a few minutes with a drill to removed the trigger lock. Same can be said for a safe. but they can be bolted down. (Another barrier) Make no bones about, one is open and ready each night but is secured when I am not at home. There will those that disagree, and that is OK. But here is trick you can use. Place a Snap Cap in the firest round position of your magazine, so if the firearms is ever taken by someone you don't wish to have it or should not have it, you gain a few seconds of time. Just don't forget that you did this. Beside the sound of you racking the slide (pistol) may deter the intruder.

NJ FID application data collection effort
Airdale26 replied to nott's topic in New Firearms Owners Corner
1. Application type (FID/permit w/ existing FID).Applied for two (2) Pistol Permits 2. Police Department where you applied. Ewing Twp PD (Mercer Co) 3. Name of the person you dealt with at the PD. Twp Hires Retired PD Officers Part time only. Also handles ABC and other permits. 4. Time taken to issue FID and/or permit. 11-2012 3 weeks December 2014 3 days 5. Documents required by the PD (aside from the standard application and the mental health release form). All standard NJ Firearms, Mental Health Local PD Form 6. Notes - anything pertaining to the application process (unforeseen difficulties, chief of police calling your home, you hiring an attorney, etc.). Application process was smooth and error/delay free. Very Good Information on how and needs to fill out forms properly. Was advised on initial permit would be three weeks and it was. No issues. Newer Online process does speed up process. Did view a few people who had to come back as they did not fillout forms properly, used pencil or could not be read. Number of permit allowed changed from only two then to three and now back to three. Chief of agency has say on the number. State law is one permit every 30 days. -

NJ FID/PP Compliancy Project
Airdale26 replied to Maksim's topic in Current New Jersey Gun Laws Discussion
The biggest issue is my area of NJ I hear about is forms are not filled correctly, hand written. I do believe some towns do delay permit process for one reason or another. Either be it a conscious effort, reduction in personnel or allocation to part time connected to other duties INTERESTED IN READING RESULTS OF SURVEY -
