  1. Thank you Chris. I wasn't sure how busy they are on weekends (range wise) do you know? So I was thinking weekdays after 5p. I guess by that time I will be competing with local residents parking as they come back home. So maybe I should give Sat/Sun mornings a try if the place is not crowded.
  2. I've never been to G&S Hunters but I am considering it as my go-to range every few weeks since it is only minutes from my house. There are some older posts about them, and I am wondering if anyone here went there recently, or goes frequently who can help with my questions. How's parking around G&S? How safe is it to walk around there with an unloaded gun in a range-bag to-from the car? I am not familiar with this part of Paterson so truely curious how comfortable does one feel walking around there. Thanks! PP
  3. I love it. Only got a chance to take it once to GFH (and shot around 350 rounds or so). But I recently ordered the LaserLyte Trainer Barrel Laser GLOCK 19/23 from Amazon (package should be here any day now!!!) and I plan to setup ShootOFF at home with my webcam and do a lot of dry fire practice.
  4. The earliest review (sadly one star) on Amazon is from February of this year. It doesn't seem too popular, at least based on the lack of YouTube videos or review sites
  5. Does anyone have any experience with the Laserlyte trainer barrel replacement for the Glock 19/23 (link below)? I really like the idea of having such a visible indicator that the gun is in training mode (compared to the training cartridges sold by the same company and others), but I didn't see a lot of reviews online and the few reviews on Amazon are average at best. I would love to hear if anyone here had any experience with the LT-GM and can write about it. http://www.laserlyte.com/products/laser-trainer-barrel-glock Thanks!
  6. Thanks can't wait to take it to GFH in a couple of days and shoot the first few rounds...
  7. I tried to search but was not able to find a similar thread. What could be a decent home defense short rifle? The shortest the better. Thanks! PP.
  8. I think they called my references (phone) but I'm not sure.
  9. Here's a quick update about the state of affairs in Fair Lawn. It is much better than past experience of forum members on this thread. It took them 12 days (7 business days!!!) to process my application (from the day I submitted it, to the day they called to tell me to say it is ready to be picked up). Fingerprinting wasn't horrible either, I was able to schedule one (in Paramus) pretty quickly (couple of days). Overall the entire process (fingerprinting and Fair Lawn PD) took me less than 3 weeks. Go straight to Fair Lawn's Police Records (on the first floor, I forgot the room number) to see Michelle. She will give you the paperwork. Then schedule the fingerprinting, hand/email the forms to your references and have them fill, sign and return/email it back to you. Once you completed fingerprinting copy/print it all and bring it back to Michelle. I hope this information will help future applicants in Fair Lawn. Here is the first page from the packet I got.
  10. Thank you @nuclearheli you def. gave the best price, I was trying to keep it 15-30 minutes from home, that is why your quote was not on the short list. Hopefully I am not violating any forum rules, I don't mind sharing my research (=phone calls), Oak Ridge Firearms was $549, Ottomanelli's $575, Caso's $599 and Bullet Hole $610. Ended up going with Ottomanelli's, closest to my home so two visits (NICS took a while) same-day today and I got my new 19. Efficient and friendly guys.
  11. I called a few that are 15-40 minutes away from me and am somewhat surprised to see the prices vary so much for exactly the same (new) handgun. Cheapest was $549 and most expensive $610. Time to buy
  12. Hi, I just got my FPID and P2P today and would like to buy a Glock 19 gen4 as soon as possible. This probably means online (and transfer) is out of the question (speed wise) right? I didn't get a chance to visit any local dealers yet, but what are my chances of having this particular handgun available locally in North Jersey (I'm at Bergen county) in-stock with a reasonable price? Should I just plan on touring a bunch of stores or would they typically share inventory and price over the phone with a potential buyer? Thanks! Palmpilot
  13. Did anyone try this new process reported by @robinzon, and can provide more details? Thanks!
