What would i need? I have never been to one before. Can you use any pistol, or is it USPSA rules?

Thanks

Check out these two pages of their site.

If there's anything you're not sure about let me know and I'll touch base with the guys who organize the steel shoots.

At a bare minimum you need your weapon, five magazines (loaded 10 each), and 125 rounds (I bring 200 just in case but usually need no more than 135).

There are tables to shoot from so you don't need magazine holders. You can shoot holstered or unholstered. Holstered starts from the surrender, unholstered from the low ready. There are usually only one or two people who shoot unholstered.

Times and results are posted within a day on the site.

Honestly, this is an awesome way to get trigger time in. It's very, very low pressure. There are brand new shooters all the way up to some of the fastest guys I've seen.

It's a lot of fun.

Yup. Beretta Px4 Storm 9mm. It's ok - I've been shooting too much lately. And ammo costs keep going up (darn walmart for raising their prices!)

I've heard good things about this place and know some guys who buy from them. They're reloads. You have to contact them for prices. I think they pay around $245 for a case of 1000 9mm 147gr JHP and $215 for a case of 9mm 115gr FMJ.

Yeah but why buy reloads at about 21.5 cents/round when I could buy brand new factory loads from walmart for about 21 cents/round?

I'm not including tax or shipping on it but still - it's cheaper to buy from Walmart. Also when 9mm goes on sale at Cabelas or elsewhere it gets even cheaper (Including shipping I paid 18.9 cents/round)!

That's cool. I don't buy ammo so I have no concept of the prices. If I have to I'll contact you first so I know where to go!
