MecGar(Italy) 15RD magazines for Sig Saurer P226

It seems that MecGar mags for the Sig P226 in 15RD limit are either in very high demand, or/and somewhat impossible to find.

I did a bit of digging, and found this!

The place/link listed above has 146(just ordered 4 of 'em) confirmed MecGar mags that we want; I called them a few mins ago and verified, just to be 100% sure. Thye're based in Va, and I was told that these were extra mags which came with new firearms, which they/whoever couldn't deploy.

Grab one(or more) while you can; $25 per mag doesn't seem to be a super deal, but it surely ain't expensive either-especially for these Italian mags!

This was posted a while back, mags are originals and work flawless, Its a good deal esp if he throws in free shipping he did for me but i ordered like 5 or 6 mags.

Yup, they'll work.

The 228 has a shorter grip however, so these 226 mags may stick out just a bit on the bottom. Similar to this (but I can't tell you exactly how much):

That's not a 228 is it? Looks like a 229SAS. Anyway MecGar makes mags for 228 and they hold 15 rounds.

BTW never seen a 229 SAS with SS frame? Did you get it coated? Nice looking Sig!

That is a coated frame and the gun is a 229 sas dak, probably a sas gen 1.

 

I would get the mec-gar mags as the fit fluch. You can use the 226 mags with the attachment that fills that gap.

15 round P226 9mm mags fit flush. 15 round P226 .40 S&W mags have the extensions. The mag pictured is what was supplied with the P226SCT in .40 S&W - the 9mm version held 20 rounds.

So how are these compared to the Made In Germany original 15 rounders? Are the German ones now considered collector items and should be stored, or it it that these are much cheaper?

i think in general the germal ones with the dovetail back are rarer. but these are the mec gar made in italy ones. i cant compare these to the german ones, but these arent lacking anywhere.
