Take a look at the latest project we did for a client. His request was to take hi old beat up Russian Makarov and breathe some new life into it...
First we did a complete detail strip and ultrasonic cleaning (twice dipped) yes it was that dirty.
Then a complete de-greasing and surface preparation. We find that a sand blast is not really necessary for this finish, but would be for parkerizing which we do not do.
Client selected his colors and what he wanted to be done to what part etc....what follows is the finished product. Note - if you see ANY lint at all on the piece, (there is) it is NOT part of the
finish, it is surface from handling and pic taking....ok so we used the camera phone...LOL...didn't feel like breaking out the SLR ....
Have any old guns that a re-finish would make you proud to take out again? Or want to make last many lifetimes?....give us a call for a free quote....
As an aside this is a combo of Combat Green and Combat black they are a matte finish and have 4-6 layers....
