Failed to upload new photo

I'm having issues changing my avatar/profile photo. Every time I try to upload or import a new one, it says "Failed to upload new photo" or just has a blank red box.

Let me check into this... is it uploading anything in or just avatars?

If you attach a pic to a post, do you have that issue?
What would you do if you knew you'd never fail?

I have the same issue Maks, just with avatars. no matter what size the file is

any pic, any size wouldn't load from my Mac -works on tapatalk though

Don't think so. I haven't been able to upload a picture for a while now. I got frustrated and just gave
up thinking it was my computer.

On and off, I always had various problems with pictures. Last advice given to me was to read and use j0n's instructions posted here somewhere.

Was the picture too big?
Was it in the right format?

jpg, 88K, 425x610, not sure what else to look for. i will try a different browser (using Chrome)

EDIT: Cut the size in half, worked!

You have a small picture size quota if you're not a premier member. That's most likely why.

Tried to upload an avatar that was 400x400 - no dice. Shrunk the picture to 300x300 and it worked.

It was too big (88K) I cut the size by 50 percent. It wasn't linked, I uploaded from my PC

in most cases like that, it is just size of avatar that has to be smaller than 200x200. no megabyte limit... that is for regular uploads. =)
